Supreme Court Justice RBG Expected to Make a Full Recovery

For those who have been concerned that Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s recent surgery might cause her to retire from her position as Supreme Court Justice, a recent Rachel Maddow Show put that fear to rest.

“This is completely routine,” Dr. Raja Flores, chairman for the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Thursday night.

“But it is a big operation. It is a very difficult operation to recover from, but she did very well. She was home in four days. You can’t expect her to be back this soon. She’s only a couple of weeks out of surgery.”

Ginsburg is one of liberal voices on the Court. If she left the Court, President Donald Trump would likely nominate a conservative to replace her.
