Appeared in The New York Times Wednesday -- June 14, 2001 Measuring Progress on Women's Issues A group of pioneering feminists known as the Veteran Feminists of America gathered at Bar- nard College on Saturday to discuss how well colleges treat women's issues and to recognize some prominent voices on the subject. Among those honored were RENATE BRIDENTHAL and ROBERT BRANNON, professors of Brooklyn College; FLORENCE HOWE, the founding director of the Feminist Press; and ELEANOR PAM, an emeritus professor from the City University of New York.
